Get your rebate
Step 1: Choose qualifying equipment and licensed contractor (if applicable)
- For contractor install window and sliding glass door rebates, windows and sliding glass doors must be installed by a licensed contractor. We recommend that you obtain several bids for comparison.
- For self-install window and sliding glass door rebates, homeowner must certify windows and sliding glass doors were installed according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure windows meet required efficiency ratings.
- Windows and sliding glass doors must be replacing existing windows and sliding glass doors.
Step 2: Ensure your home qualifies
- Only existing homes qualify (no new construction).
- Primary fuel used for heating must be Avista electric or natural gas service.
- For multifamily residences, there is no minimum usage requirement.
- For primary multifamily homes with shared interior walls (up to a fourplex) including apartments, duplexes, townhomes, and condos.
- Seasonal and recreational homes are not eligible.
Step 3: Submit a rebate application
*Note: Rebate application(s) for windows with decreasing incentives in multifamily homes heated by natural gas, as noted in the table above, must be submitted online or postmarked on or before February 28, 2025 to be eligible for the current higher incentive.
- Complete and submit a rebate application within 120 days of qualifying equipment installation.
- Include a copy or electronic image of the final invoice and supporting documentation, which must include total number of windows and sliding glass doors, u-factor of all windows and sliding glass doors, and cost (bids and estimates are not accepted).
- For self-installed windows, include post-project photos and sign the DIY Window Self-Certification.
- For storm windows and sliding glass doors, include Energy Star certificate or window specification sheet. Energy Star certificates are available at energystar.gov/productfinder/.
