Are you a student, or do you have one in the family? Check out Avista scholarships, offered at select colleges and universities across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Scholarships are available in the following areas:
- Electrical Engineering Scholarships
- Management Information Systems Scholarships
- Waters of the West Scholarships
- Service Territory Scholarships
- 4-H Scholarships

Amount: Between $500 and $2,000
Candidates: College juniors and seniors with electrical engineering majors emphasizing power.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership ability as reflected in a clear statement of personal and professional goals;
- A resume that includes examples of innovation, community service, leadership and project management experience, and related work experience;
- A strong faculty recommendation, or other demonstrations determined by the selection committee
Recipients must maintain full-time status (12 credit hours per semester) with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, and keep their current major.

Amount: Between $500 and $2,000
Candidates: Qualified matriculated students at the junior level in management information systems (MIS) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or better. First preference given to qualified minority and women applicants.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership ability as reflected in a clear statement of personal and professional goals;
- A resume that includes examples of innovation, community service, leadership and project management experience, and related work experience;
- A strong faculty recommendation, or other demonstrations determined by the selection committee
Once accepted for the scholarship, recipients must maintain full-time status (12 credit hours per semester), maintain their current major, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Avista pledges to renew the scholarship in the second year for qualified recipients. The university will have the discretion to extend scholarships for no more than a third year for those engineering students who need longer to complete their degree programs.

Eastern Washington University
Amount: Varies
Candidates: High school seniors and college undergraduates who are studying in fields related to the operations of our company.
Requirements:
Contact the university of your choice directly for further information about the award criteria and preferred fields of study. Once accepted for the scholarship, recipients must maintain full-time status (12 credit hours per semester), maintain their current major, and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Amount: $500
Candidates: High school juniors and seniors who are members of a local 4-H club in Avista’s Idaho service territory, who personify the core values of the 4-H pledge.
Requirements:
- Enrolled full-time at the University of Idaho.
- Current or former member of a 4-H club from one of these North Idaho counties: Kootenai, Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce.
- Demonstrated practice of leadership and civic engagement
