Atmospheric Corrosion Inspections
Federal law requires natural gas utilities to inspect pipelines exposed to the atmosphere for corrosion. Avista conducts these inspections every three years in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Prior to inspection

Day of Inspection
- Technician visit: A technician may knock on your door to inform you of the inspection. If you’re not home, they will leave a door hanger with contact details to reschedule.
