Adventures await in the Pacific Northwest

Summertime in the Pacific Northwest affords many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. With an abundance of trails, lakes, mountains and rivers to visit, any day can bring the promise of an awaiting adventure.

Research your next adventure by visiting myavista.com. The site includes interactive maps for both the Spokane River and the Clark Fork River. The map locations include a short description of each recreational area, and lists what kind of activities are available there such as camping, fishing, swimming, kayaking, hiking, boat launches, or day use.

Avista owns and operates six hydroelectric dams between these two locations. Our dams are surrounded by thousands of acres of land that offer epic outdoor recreational adventures and there are more than 100 recreation opportunities to explore.

And remember: it isn’t a fun adventure if someone gets hurt. When recreating in water near a dam, be aware that it can contain hidden dangers. Play it safe and adhere to all the posted warning signs and safety guidelines. They are there for your protection.

Now get out there and enjoy what nature has to offer!

Stay safe when recreating in water near a dam.
