We all could use a break from our electronics. Sometimes it's good to step outside, breathe in some fresh air, and enjoy what nature has to offer. Take a hike, go for a bike ride, take your family fishing or boating, and experience our beautiful parks and rivers. We live in a region where outdoor activities are abundant and the closest lake or river is only a few minutes away.
Our region has a number of picnic areas, camping facilities, and boating opportunities as well as ample opportunity to bird watch, hike, swim, fish, and hunt. Riverside State Park alone is 14,000 acres and includes two campgrounds, and beautifully maintained hiking trails.
The next time you're looking for something to do over the weekend or you have a couple hours to spare after work, think about spending some time outside enjoying our local parks. Go rafting down the Spokane river, fishing on the Clark Fork, or boating on Spirit Lake. Enjoy the outdoors, relax, and create memories.
As you enjoy the many activities this area has to offer, please follow signs, respect site rules and boundaries, use proper equipment, and don't play near a dam.
